DIY Green Tea Cucumber Spritzer

Green tea can be a powerful tool for your health both inside and outside. Green tea has an AMAZING amount of antioxidants. Antioxidants are necessary to combat free radicals. Free radicals prematurely age you. Pollution, stress, bad eating habits, lack sleep, etc. are all sources of free radicals. Bring on the antioxidants. Make a DIY green tea cucumber spritzer! It’s easy, effective and smells great!

Green tea can also protect your skin against UV damage, whether you apply it topically or drink it. It is smart to increase your consumption of green tea in the summer to protect and support your skin while you are out in the sunshine!

Green tea also helps to retain water inside the body.

Here we will find a wide range of ingredients such as hyaluronic, coQ10 and Wrinkle Defence Complex. We can also find botanical extracts, and many more! Since it was certified by ECOCERT Greenlife and naturally preserved, I chose to use their Green Tea Extract. It’s also a great addition to any DIY that uses water.

According to Lotion Crafter

Green Tea Extract has a wide range of benefits, due primarily to its content of Polyphenols. Polyphenols have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant effects. They also have the ability of inhibiting collagenase – the enzyme that causes degradation of collagen, and the vascular wall. Methylxanthines stimulate vasodilator responses and prevent lipid accumulation in adipocytes. Green Tea Extract protects also against UVB damage. Anti-cellulite products, sunblocks, wrinkle-reducing formulations, products for sensitive and irritated skin, and products to improve hair strength and shine are all possible applications.

The green tea extract contains a high catechins concentration and polyphenolic substances.

This extract helps reduce the free radical activity of the skin. It can also help to reduce the appearances of wrinkles, age marks, and blemishes. Methylxanthines increases the microcirculation of the skin and improves the health and tone of the skin.

Green tea extract has a high level of anti-inflammatory properties. Collagenase, an enzyme that reduces collagen, is also present in high amounts. Topical application of green tea, which inhibits collagenase and increases collagen production, is beneficial. In one clinical trial, it was found that skin tissue had a measurably higher elastic content after the continuous application of green tea extract.

DIY Green Tea Cucumber Spritzer

  • 3 TBSP. Cucumber Witch Hazel or regular witch hazel .
  • 1 TBSP. Aloe Vera Gel
  • 1/2 tsp. Green Tea extract

Directions:

  • Add all three ingredients to a 2-ounce glass spray container. Check these pretty bottles!
  • Shake well, or else the green tea extract may settle to the bottom. I shake every time to ensure the extract is distributed evenly.
  • Use every morning and evening after cleansing, but before moisturizing.

I love to use botanical extracts when making DIYs. Most of them are water-soluble, so we have a limited number of DIYs that can use them.
