These are the theme colors. Then, you will need to add your transition shades and brow-bone shades according to your skin tone.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"19\">Complementary palettes can be used with other products, such as singles and standalone palettes.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; line-height: 1.5; font-size: 1.953em; font-family: Poppins, sans-serif; color: var(--iq-title-text); letter-spacing: 1px;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"20\">Create your own individual looks<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem; color: #414141; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 1px;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"21\">If you&#8217;re using the theme &#8220;work-friendly,&#8221; you may want to look for a brightening color for the entire lid, as well as a darker shade (for the crease\/transition) and a highlighter for the brow bone.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"22\">You can group colors into quads or trios based on how you would use them in an outfit.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"23\">Then you can eliminate colors that overlap too much or you may prefer one shade over another.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4 style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; line-height: 1.5; font-size: 2.3em; font-family: Poppins, sans-serif; color: var(--iq-title-text); letter-spacing: 1px;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"24\">STEP BY STEP: 12-SHADE GREENS PALETTE<\/span><\/h4>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem; color: #414141; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 1px;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"25\">Check out the steps!<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"26\">I began by creating &#8220;quads&#8221; based on past color stories that I created with Sydney Grace single eyeshadows.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"27\">I&#8217;m a big fan of green so I chose a palette with mainly green shades.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"28\">I wanted to have 12 shades in the palette so I started with seven &#8220;quads&#8221; that I thought I would enjoy wearing. This gave me 28 eyeshadows to choose from.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"box-sizing: border-box; color: #414141; font-family: sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 1px;\" data-trackaction=\"Sneak Peek\">\n<h5 style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; line-height: 1.5; font-size: 2.3em; font-family: Poppins, sans-serif; color: var(--iq-title-text);\"><strong><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"29\">STEP 1 &#8211; KITCHEN SINK<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"30\">I started by removing shades that did not work well with the majority of shades I was interested in.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"31\">I decided not to include shades like\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Lemon Sorbet<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Deep Desire<\/em>\u00a0because they were pulling more yellow and orange.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"32\">Then, I compared all the matte shades and looked for any that were too similar or overlapped to the point of being redundant.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"33\">Haystack, Back Woods, and Bravo are similar, with Back Woods being slightly more olive-green and Haystack being a bit warmer. I thought the warmth of Haystack was more versatile for me as a crease shade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"34\">The quality of Island Paradise was better.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"35\"><em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Hot Chocolate<\/em>,\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Caramel<\/em>, and Hot Chocolate were similar. I chose Hot Chocolate because of the added richness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"36\">Then I went through all the shades of shimmer to eliminate any shades that overlapped.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"37\"><em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Levy was a darker, cooler shade of green, as were<\/em>\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">to Earth<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">timber<\/em>. However, I loved the gold shimmer and finish on\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Levy<\/em>\u00a0and didn&#8217;t feel it was similar to the others.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"38\"><em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">To Earth<\/em>\u00a0was darker and less metallic. I thought it contrasted better with Levy.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" data-trackaction=\"Sneak Peek\">\n<h5 style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; line-height: 1.5; font-size: 2.3em; font-family: Poppins, sans-serif; color: var(--iq-title-text);\"><strong><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"39\">STEP 2: Initial Refinements<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"40\">The &#8220;quads&#8221;, which I had created, were out of sync. So, I recreated the quads and saw how they came together. This made them appear more cohesive, so that I could get a better idea of the color story.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" data-trackaction=\"Sneak Peek\">\n<h5 style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; line-height: 1.5; font-size: 2.3em; font-family: Poppins, sans-serif; color: var(--iq-title-text);\"><strong><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"41\">STEP 3: RESET<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"42\">After resetting the remaining shades to &#8220;quads,&#8221; the taupe-like colors like\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Somber<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Enjoy the Ride<\/em>\u00a0were more prominent. I decided I didn&#8217;t want to continue in this direction, so I removed those two shades.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"43\"><em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">San Diego<\/em>\u00a0seemed to complement my cool\/warm vibes better than\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">peanut butter<\/em>\u00a0which was warmer. So I removed that shade.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"44\"><em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Take The Time<\/em>, and\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Meadow<\/em>\u00a0seemed to be out of place as they were grassy, bright greens. I already had a lot more warm, muted browns and olives.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"45\">I now had 16 shades.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\" data-trackaction=\"Sneak Peek\">\n<h5 style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px; line-height: 1.5; font-size: 2.3em; font-family: Poppins, sans-serif; color: var(--iq-title-text);\"><strong><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"46\">STEP 4: FURTHER Refinements<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"47\">In order to get to the 12 final shades, I thought about what I would use the palette for and what products I already own or other palettes that I could pair it with.<\/span>\u00a0<span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"48\"><em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Midnight<\/em>\u00a0is a nice shade, but I already have so many black eyeshadows, and I don&#8217;t use them enough to fill up an entire spot.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"box-sizing: border-box; margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 1rem;\"><span class=\"wordai-block rewrite-block enable-highlight\" style=\"box-sizing: border-box; display: inline;\" data-id=\"49\"><em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Midnight Gold<\/em>, and\u00a0<em style=\"box-sizing: border-box;\">Rustic<\/em>\u00a0were likely to serve as similar purchases for me.
